The ALCP noticed the points of comparison between Slovenia and Georgia when attending the Apimondia 2017 event. The Slovenian display showcasing honey tourism and the integration of honey production into the general promotion of Slovenia as a desirable destination was amazing.

After five years of multi-stakeholder advocacy beginning in 2011, in 2016 the country instituted the development of Biosecurity infrastructure for ensuring the systematic health control of migrating livestock. There are five Bio Security Points (6th one planned to be constructed in 2018) in operation on the Animal Movement Route for the disinfection of migrating livestock against parasites with a safe waste management scheme and staffed by specialists hired by the National Food Agency serving farmers free of charge

The annual ALCP Facilitated Honey Festival was held for the third time on August 2017 in Batumi.
Up to 40 beekeepers from across Georgia once again presented their honey and by products for the festival visitors. Honey themed entertainment activities for children, including face-painting, games; live music from folk ensembles and rock band were laid on, keeping the celebration spirit all day.
Jara was premiered in March 2017 at Amirani Cinema Hall, Tbilisi.
More than 400 representatives from the regional and central government, the non-governmental sector, the donor organizations gave standing ovations and applauses to the film makers and artists.

Equitable Empowerment in Georgia, ALCP facilitated event celebrating community responses to equitable local government initiatives empowering women and men in communities of three regions of Georgia, was held at Hualing Hotel in Tbilisi on the 17th of March, under the patronage of the Gender Equality Council of the Parliament of Georgia.
